Those prices look cheap. But they're really not. I was talking to my neighbor, who bought his house in '51 for $10,750. His mortgage was $55 a month. Here's the catch, he was a fireman and brought home $190 a month.
PS: His house is now worth about $500,000. Atleast it was last week.
