For all those early S&S carb fans out there, this one's a treat. George Smith, founder of S&S Cycle, assembling L-Series carburetors in his facility in Viola, WI. To this day manufacturing still goes on in Viola at the same exact location. These carburetors were developed by George Smith to replace the Linkerts that were being destroyed at the drag strip due to over-boring.
