I went to the Love Ride last weekend, I didn't go on the the Love Ride. I went the night before for the California Mile, but forgot my camera at the hotel (I suck).
The motorcycle drill teams are always fun!
Had a couple beers backstage in between the The Tubes and the Foo Fighters sets. Ran into a bunch of friends, old and new.
The Foos hit the stage around 12:30 which was a little strange. As always they ripped it up.
I didn't stick around for ZZ Top because I didn't want to get stuck in this mess. 25,000 bikes piloted by people that had a few cold ones in the heat.
All in all I think everyone had a good time. It was great to see them run the mile and it's always fun to see good bands and hang with friends.

ZZ was good but I feel they're starting to phone it in. The heat... now that sucked.
I saw ZZ top in St. Louis few weeks back, played the local "cool old theatre venue" - The Fox, 5,000 seats. They had played the Bikes Blues N BBQ in Arkansas the previous weekend and took a couple daze off and took in some of the great blues bars here before their show. I know what you mean by them getting a bit "push replay" in some of their performances. But not this time at The Fox. Played 5-6 blues tunes not on any of their records.
