poon, Only ones I ever seen done were not that far over stock and they had a backup piece in the recess inside. They didn't look right with the taper straight in that section. The piece added was made out of three pieces to get the I-beam shape. The inside plate had to go longer than the add in piece. It looked sort of cobby. The real way and safe way is to mill new legs the length you want, cut the old ones off at the bridge, bore out the remainder and weld in the new ones.
