Just in case you guys didn't know, Makonabe is the editor/owner of Hardcore Chopper Magazine, Japan. By far the most sought after Japanese chopper magazine there ever was.
Regarding this bike, Makonabe says - "I like OHV twins. Nice bikes, those BMW's. I like H-D's too but I like all motorcycles. Used BMW's are real cheap in Japan, like $2000 to $3000 USD.
"I tried out a little scooter as a short commuter, it sucked. One day some driver in a car ran straight into my parked scooter at the HCC office. I got the insurance money and bought that BMW. I had my friend paint the swastikas on it."
