The Ambulance drivers get points for cutting up good leathers. I lost my first Vanson to those bastards. At least you kept the shades intact. Seriously, get better and ride again. Ray in CT
As my wife saw the picture of your helmet she forced me to buy a new FullFace. She can't understand why I'm always riding with my vintage OpenFace one. She is so right. Leaving your lower jaw or whatever on 200ft. of asphalt doesn't make you look better. It happens so fast. Get well soon - keep on ridin!!!!
I totalled a bike in 1994, that night I was wearing a full-face helmet. It saved my life. I do not advocate mandatory helmet use, and usually wear a carbon fibre half helmet. When the ambulance people tried to cut my jacket off, I would not allow. After that, every time it got wet it smelled like dirt and blood. Godspeed to you sir, as written above - "stay Percky!"
Oh, on that wreck, I was straight, sober riding slow fell asleep on curvy back road in Missouri, USA. After 17 years of high speed, aggresive substance-filled riding, this is how I went down. Now I know how it feels, I change a liitle bit.
