Totally righteous! As a kid my whole family tuned in.
I still watch today when I catch it.
This was the era of truly talented country artist. On Hee Haw you can watch Mr. Cash, Waylon, Keith Whitley, Vern Gosdin, etc..
Country today? Whatever Grandpa Dave. Retards like commercial grade beatoff Toby Keith and uber gay Dierks Bentley are not artist or musicains. They are simply manufactured potted meat tools.
So crank up ol Buck and rock out to the Bakersfield sound.
One more. Remember what Waylon told Chet Atkins session players about the Nashville sound? He was wearing twin .357's and said "If any of you Motherfuckers plays an off note, I'll blow your Goddamn fingers off!" Word.

Didn't much care fer them yoakles back then. But now, I wouldn't miss the chance. Especially Roy's underrated string work and myriad of solid outlaws like Cash, Jennings, Nelson, Williams Jr., Paycheck, Haggard and alike. True Americana con huevos!
