The City of Los Angeles. Literal translation, The City of Angels.

A strange and wonderous place where anything and everything is possible.

A place where an immigrant with no education became an engineering titan.

A place where make- believe has been perfected, exported and become reality.

A place that constantly tries to shed it's history, and reinvent itself.

A place that few are from, and many desire to be.

A place who's people defy a collective definition.

A place that cannot be defined, only experienced.

A place that I call home.

Truly a strange and wonderous place.

I've never loved and hated a city at the same time, except for Los Angeles.

I wish I was in L.A. right this very moment......

That was nicely worded. An almost Raymond Chandler-esque narrative about LA there. After I left CA, I would visit me mum in Sonora, Fresno, ...... but when she moved to either Beverly Hills or Glendale, that's when I paid for her to visit me in Missouri. "No More, No More"

I'm a L.A. native. 30 to 50 years ago it was a cool place to grow up/live. Love it's history, hating it more each day. About the only good thing left, is the weather.

Should a "Denver Dan" live in LA?

I love it 15 to 20 minutes at a time. Then I drop the cash on the dresser and I'm out.
