The Hater's Dyna

As a relative to H-D's former production motorcycle the FXR, I've always had an interest in the TwinCam powered Dyna Superglide. I enjoy the "sport touring" aspect of both models and absolutely not as a platform to have chopper-envy or "I wish this was a rigid" type of styling.

As you may have noticed, The Hater in San "Juan" Diego cruises up to hang out with his funny boyfriends in the Long Beach area quite often. He could do this in a number of vehicles but the one he is most commonly seen on is this '04 FXD Superglide. It has been made to ride swiftly through obstacles and split traffic like a big karate chop (or tae kwon do kick, if you want to be technical).

A number of things made this motorcycle the way it is. One being extensive engine work. Bored to 95" with Branch heads, Mackie gear drive cams, Mikuni HSR42. The crankpin/flywheel's been welded together too. It's been dyno'd at Bennett's Performance and captured 100hp/105 lb torque. But he's pretty cozy with all that under his ass, because he's sitting on a nice king&queen seat from Tramp Cycle in Japan.
Performance upgrades to this bike includes the suspension. 1.5" over tubes with Race Tech gold valves up front and 1" raised foot pegs gives even MORE ground clearance for cornering. The Progressive Shocks, CCE for brace and chassis stabilizer kit helps out a bunch too. If you're familiar with this bike, you probably noticed the Metmachex swingarm and chain final drive conversion here:
Storz Performance steering stabilizer and a dual disc conversion with stainless lines seen here. Going fast is great but you have to be able to stop well too.

I got more FXR/Dyna antics coming soon.
