So nearly every Friday, Dave and I eat at this joint. I took a chance and tried it out a few years back and just recently, we've made it a regular spot. This day was not the average Friday lunch at Paul's though, it was July 3rd, 2009: ChopperDave's birthday! Guest starring his wonderful girlfriend, Dre:
Choices, choices. There's a lot to choose from. I usually get the Hero, Prosciutto, or even the Boiled Ham sandwich. Oh, check out the hot peppers on the counter. I usually feel it necessary to torture myself with a few of those while having a nice sammy.
Of course, all good sandwich places always got da sides! Cole slaw, potato salad, mac salad (aka Mac Daddy), "white pasta" and "red pasta" is one of the few choices. Olives and stuff are free, just gotta ask:
Dre hooked it up for birthday boy! Cupcakes! Not regular ones either, she whipped up the gourmet cuppin's to the cakes, dog.
"I already had'em earlier, so I made these two for you and Dave!" Thanks Dre!
There's usually a line at this place, especially when its closer to noon on Fridays. People like eating out on Friday's:
Dave had the special secret sandwich that's actually not on the menu, the Cobb Salad Sandwich. It's under close scrutiny, still subject to severe testing before it's actual release. How do you like it, Dave?
"It's good! Needs a little something, a little more sauce? I'm not sure... needs more testing.":
Dre had the ol'faithful Turkey Sandwich! Makes it even better with the red pasta and some pepperocinis.
"Nelson got the what? Nelson got the what?" I have to try everything on the menu since we go to Paul's fairly regularly so I freaked everyone out (including myself) by getting the Egg Salad Sandwich. Couple of hot pepperocinis for me. No sides this day, since I practically had a sandwich full of
side!:
Paul's been in business for several decades now and it's well taken care of by his son, pictured on the right. Good place with a very personal touch. I recommend it.
