I told that joke to a hipster. He didn't know the answer. I told him the answer. He said he had heard that one ages ago.
Mopeds are fun, and kick ass for picking up chicks who're naughty and smart.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_kIUSr7-is:D
Sorry, shoulda thrown a target on that bitch to open it in a big enough window. Let's see if it works:Nope, tried it. "Your HTML cannot be accepted: Attribute "TARGET" is not allowed" Oh well.
thats not brooklyn thats williamsburg hipster land
That's not the Williamsburg I escaped to from the South Bronx back in 1990.It's a high rent rip off nowadays.I was a welder at shops like Aileron and Kern Rockenfield by Powers and Devoe streets respectively, back when there was a metal fabrication shop just about every five blocks in Williamsburg. In fact we used to sell our extra diamond plate stock to Indian Larry when he was short on the material, or he'd trade us shipping chain, which he always had in abundance for some reason. That wasn't all that long ago, but still back far enough in time when these guys would've been afraid to ride anywhere below North 12th street in anything less than a tank with police escorts.-Long live Brooklyn, long live New York.btw- Great blog you guys. My buddy Tom Rollason in LA told me to check you out.-SJ
I was going down to the local quick mart for a lotto ticket and gas and these guys, a gang of about 6-7 were all on mopeds..even tatted all up sleeves and all so i asked whattup and they said they were the "Moped Army" and had quite the membership..shit was FUNNY cuz they were not posin but real deal gang..cool people
Hope they don't run into the Baseball Furies...they might just have some questions to answer...
how come we didn't get invited?
I thought this stuff was kind of a joke at first - the mopeds. Afterall, they're mopeds. Then I talked with a couple of local Seattle guys who are into it and race their machines. High zoot forks, billet heads, obscure carbs. sourced for their performance, lots of money spent on machine work. Into it big. Lots of money and time invested.I thought those guys were pretty cool after talking to them. They're striving to do it the best they can, just like some Big Twin, Triumph, Ducati, whatever folks. It's not about what you have, but what you do with it. Or maybe I'm just an idealist fuck.
there are gonna be skinny jeans and fresh tattoos trading there italian track frames for paugcho wishbones riding shovelheads up and down mission street in s.f. real soon. it will truly be over.
well since you know that...you better stock up so you have the good's when they want umm and you can finally buy that wr you've been drooooling over holmes.
Man it's cool. Let those dudes ride whatever they want. There's plenty of bikers that have gotten into it to pose, it's all relative.
