Kabob Curry - Long Beach, CA

Just minutes away from our hood, over in the downtown area of Long Beach (3rd and Pine), is Kabob Curry. We scoped out this place from across the street, where I was shooting Eric Webb's pretty shovelhead for a feature.
"Think its good? Not much people in there, dude..." Fuck it, we gotta give it a shot. So CantStayJose parked the g-ride right up front in case we had to split after closer inspection.
It looked clean and we were greeted real nice, so we had a seat.
Hungry? "pssshht - hell yeah, dog... fucking starving."
Food came fairly quick. Looked like we were in for a treat too.
On the left is Tandori Chicken Masala and to it's right is the Chicken Karahi.
Those two curry dishes didn't come with anything, so we got some Naan too. Plain and Garlic.
I gotta say that the Tandori Chicken Masala was superb. I mean it was really good. The sauce was just really tasty, real choice stuff. Naan was real good too. I can't forget the Chicken Karahi, which was pretty good too... but maaaan the Tandori Chicken Masala, gotta have it again. But next time more spicy.
Here's the proof that it was good, see below. It was mopped up quick. Soon after this photo was taken, it was mopped up even cleaner:
See you again for sure, Kabob Curry.
Oh shit, Jose almost forgot his Star Trek Communicator. Our lovely waitress was all over it.
By chance we ran into the owner Amir. Nice guy. He saw a need for Indian/Pakistani food in the area and we think he did a good job of it. Prices are amazingly fair too. In fact, I actually told him he should charge more.
We'll be regulars at this place. I want round two on this spot.

Do they serve chicken phall? Worth the try, if you are looking for a more spicy dish!

ate there again last night. It was good. Another cute waitress too.

Full plate of rice, one chicken curry, one lamb saag, one sweet yogurt smoothie thing, one stuffed naan = $24.00.
