The Pike on 4th Street - Long Beach

CantStayJose can't stay. "Let's goooo - come on, dog." We were on our way to go meet up with Makonabe and Motoyan from Hardcore Chopper Magazine. They were done shooting for the day and wanted to hang out.

Dustinator and Jose brought me to The Pike about 7 years ago. Back then the place was pretty quiet (especially since they only served beer) but we ate many meals here, especially breakfasts. I dig coming here but only in the day time, kinda loud at night. Maybe I'm just getting old.
Makonabe and Motoyan were relaxing from a full day of work. Beer was flowing:
Lotta messing around. They're fun as hell.

They just "get it", you know?
These two monkeys laughing at all the funny photos Jose took while he had borrowed Motoyan's camera earlier that day.
First up, we got The Pike's buffalo wings. Comes with the usual ranch dressing, celery sticks and their home style fries. Jose inspecting it well, making sure the shit's right:
So you guys miss Japanese food at all? "Fuuuuuck no," Makonabe says. "We can't get enough of American food! and these wings are pretty good!"
All four of us had Pike Burgers. Usual affair but above average taste. I like the fact it comes on a roll. BBQ sauce goes well with their fries.
The American Hamburger Connoisseur moving into action:
Lots of neat old photos to look at. The owner of the place, Chris Reece (old drummer for Social Distortion), does a good job at keeping the place going smoothly. He's a real nice guy.
We were off to Jose's to hang out:
HCC boys had never ridden in a sidecar before.
So they went for a ride.
It was a good Saturday.
