Being a 20 year employee of H-D of Westminster, CA and one of their main/senior techs, you can bet that Sam has done a bit more than your usual bolt-on affair. He's completely gone through his engine more than once and has rebalanced the stock flywheels with S&S rods, high comp pistons, a 580 cam and Branch heads.
"I don't know how many times it's been called a Dyna or Sportster."
"Most people don't know what they're looking at or talking about."
This is the way this FXLR has looked from the first time I laid eyes on it 6 years ago and it's been more or less untouched for almost 10 years now.
I dig Sam; he's an old school hard ass that knows what he digs and stays with it. I can imagine that he'll be with this bike for decades to come. More FXR and Dyna's coming soon!
