Out with the old, in with the new

I got a phone call yesterday asking if I would shoot the Indy Car race this weekend.
About a half an hour later the XTI took a shit.
Maybe this new body will put CoC coverage over the edge.
Yeah, right.
Fuck I hate spending money on anything not motorcycle.

I love my 40D. Ive never owned a more durable camera. Ive dropped it off my moms fxr on to the road and didnt even scrath it. It destroyed the expensive ass fisheye lens that was attached to it though.
This camera has been with me for three years and shows no sign of wear and tear.

I won that camera in a arm wrestling match with The Hater aka Davecat. It's a killer camera. Definitely a solid step up from the Rebel XTI.

Where'd you grab the 40D, Jeff?...I'm looking at trying to upgrade my wife's setup before the end of the summer...

85 / f1.2 with a Polarizing filter is a pretty phenomenal set-up for that camera. Fast enough to freeze action, and very crisp for close-ups while blowing out backgrounds.

I like my XTI, but I'm sure you'll be glad you have the 40D after you get over the sticker shock.
Peace
