According to legend, before settling down at the Nu Pike from the early 50's Bert travelled with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Circus and tattooed Buffalo Bill, Bonnie and Clyde and Pretty Boy Floyd. He worked out of the shop in Long Beach until 1970 when he moved to Portland, OR.
