Saturday a few of us (including Denver Dan) headed out to San Luis Obispo for lunch.
About 35 miles north of Ojai on HWY 150 Dan went into a tankslapper and highsided. He slid over 200 ft. 
He broke his elbow, collar bone, ankle and thumb. He's going to be laid up for awhile but, thankfully no injuries to his head or spine! Dan will ride again!
Everyone at COC wishes him a speedy recovery!

Dan's full face helmet and heavy leather jacket played a huge roll in protecting him from more serious injuries. PLEASE WEAR GOOD RIDING EQUIPMENT!

when people say full helmets look geeky on choppers/cruisers, give'em the middle finger and also a link to this post.
I may ride only in jeans and a t-shirt in the summertime, but i always wear a full/flip-up helmet. It's your 'thinker' that needs the most protection, without it..your a legume.

Hey Dan , I hope you feel better soon . I've come off my bike a few different times through the years and I feel for you . That shit sucks . . . just keep the vicoden flowing and watch lots of " how it's made " it will hypnotize you into feeling better .
my father in law is the old school biker type who beileves that helmets only protect ya under 12 miles an hour or some shit like that....can you say dumbass?? your story totaly sold me on full face helmets ill be getting one when my bikes done...hopefully this summer! take care man !!
