Honestly, when people find out I'm a vet and want to "thank me for my service," I'm at a loss on how to respond. "Thanks..?"
Thank a vet by writing your government reps and telling them that you want the local Veterans' Hospital fully funded, the snags in the GI Bill fixed, and the men and women at the front to have the best gear for the job.
