I'm glad to say that I'm personally unaffected by gas prices. Took this photo on Friday night, on my way home from work after having filled up my FXR. Its like a 3.5-ish gallon tank.
I pay like an extra $20 to $30 more a month now. Yeah, money's money, but riding a motorcycle to work all year round sure makes it easier on my wallet.

I filled up our company work van that same day. It's an 90's Astro Van and it was a hundred fucking bucks to fill up. WOW, fuck, now THAT's some fucking dough. For $100, I've bought a milk crate FULL of Linkerts, 3 early aftermarket sporty tanks, boxes of new chrome hardware and some NOS twisted chrome footpegs.

and everyone thought that movie "the road warrior" was science fiction...if times get tough...2 pairs of channels locks and a funnel are all you need.put the funnel in tank...remove nozzle over funnel.ive seen as much as 2 pints come out depending on the hose.and all the fuel left in hose runs out.i use to repair gas pumps.a old school guy i worked with told me he went across country that way.he would drain hoses into his tank.fuel is already paid for as its past the meter..but i suppose it still belongs to the station..i would never advocate "borrowing"..but if your old ladys water broke, your outta gas and the station is closed for example....

That shit is $7.20 a gallon over here in Korea off base. Good thing is it's $4 a gallon on base. Still hurts to fill the F-150 up. I ride the bikes as much as I can but the Monsoon is starting so I'll be ass out until August. Day in and day out of rain is no fun and dangerous at best with traffic like it is here with all the moronic cagers.

it kills me every day as i sit in traffic for an hour & a half each way on the 405 and watch bikes zip through all the parked cars. i would give anything to be one of them — but with all the crap i lug back & forth a motorcycle isn't an option. i don't even have to pay for the $90 worth of gas i put in my tank every couple days and it still makes my stomach turn every time i have to fill it up.

i am so jealous of you right now.

I think it was in 2005, I had gone like 6 or 7 months without having to put gas in a car.

I didn't even own a car (although my wife has a truck), for the first 4 years we lived in CA.

I personally think its really no big deal being a regular commuter on a motorcycle, but I very rarely come across anyone who does it here in weather-perfect So.Cal (there's always excuses). I think most people are just too lazy to get their bike out of the garage and gear up to ride... or just inexperienced, afraid of the freeway.

But fuck it, I don't really care about others. I just thought I'd share my thoughts!

I filled my bike up yesterday (My TL, the ultimate commuter bike) and it cost me 18 bucks. Luckily I can ride the bike most of the time, but days when i'm in a car and have to fill it, DAMN!!!
crazy shit, we are bitchin but in europe 7 bucks or more is normal for a gallon of gas!

thank god for motorcycles

I've been riding my bike almost everyday but now my kid's outta school so I gotta bring him to work and it's just too scary to have him on the back in tourist hell.
I'm seriously thinking about fixing my Vespa, this shit's getting outta control.
My new Caddy SVT with the V6 engine in it has gotten no better than 15.5 mpg, it says 22 mpg on the EPA rating, sure, my ass!!!!
