The Whiskey Au Go Go - Hollywood, CA

In '81 I was 15 and living in Orange County. A friend gave me a ride up to The Whiskey to see Fear & The Fleasheaters. They were playing two shows. We went to the early one. They didn't sell many tickets for the second show so they let people stay. I thought we were staying. I guess my ride had other plans. So she just fucking left me there. I was 15 alone in Hollywood with probably no more than $ 5.00 in my pocket. What could go wrong? Luckily, I ran into my cousin. He took me to Okie Dogs (the original one on Santa Monica, not the one on Fairfax) after the show, let me crash at his house and gave me a ride home in the morning.

Scott, you fuckin' rock - that's a great story. When I was 15, I got left at the roller rink in Colwell, Iowa one night and some 17 year old fox with big hooters gave me a ride home. Not quite the same . . . but I still dream about her - who was she? Where is she now? She might have went to LA?
