The Bolt Grinder!

This bike came together from the hands of Tim Wallingford, with help from Custom Cycle Engineering.
It is believed that this overhead valve set up was made in the 1930's by a gentleman who resided in Illinois. It was then purchased by Randy Smith when he was at the Davenport Antique Motorcycle Swap Meet sometime in the mid-60's. Tim bought it from Randy in '96.

Although similar to the experimental conversion H-D had also made, this set is one-off.
The bottom end of this motor had been "ball-jobbed". All four cams, the sprocket shaft and pinion shaft run on ball bearings. Photos were taken in LaCrosse, WI over the weekend at the S&S Cycle 50th Anniversary Celebration.

I can't get over this thing. It's like an overhead valve'd trials 45 or something. You could really fuck up some city fountains and stairs with it.
