Here are some old skate photos. Two are of the Pearl City Pool.
This was the breeding grounds for local skaters in the late seventies and early 80's.
This other photo is a drainage ditch we called Verticals. Note the cement transitions to lava rock walls. These were places that skating developed when it transformed from clay wheels to urethane:Thanks Darren!

Road Riders and Power Paws plus Bennet Trucks..i started laminating my own boards in 9th grade and had $175.00 into each board..taht was in 1977..made a downhill out of ash that was never mounted..carried it around for 15+ years..lost in one of many moves..Thanks for the pix

i remember when road riders came out - man they were the absolute shit - they changed everything -those wheels and california slalom trucks on a G&S fiberglass longboard deck - 1977 nirvana - for your man steveb
